Constant WiFi drop outs.

Hi. I’m pulling my hair out (not much left) due to our WiFi dropping out every 10 minutes!! It was dropping once in a while but now it takes hours to watch anything due to the constant drop outs. We pay a lot of money for the full package and I’m dreading trying to watch the final Grand Prix. We’re stuck with Sky due to being one of only 2 services on our lane. Seriously considering going over to BT. Been a sky customer for decades but now I’m wondering if brand loyalty is giving me grief. Come on Sky, not good enough.

@Marksmr I'm sure you realise that this is a forum populated by Sky customers and that you are not directly dealing with Sky.

Having said this, more details of your issue, and others maybe able to offer some assistance in time for Sunday's F1 (for which I have the practice session on in the background using Now TV on a Firestick in my home office).

For any help to be offered, information is needed about your broadband connection, are you using Glass or Stream etc.?

Re: Constant WiFi drop outs.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. First time on the community so thought Sky might see the post. We have Sky Glass with around 55mgps. Full package at £130 plus £34 for the broadband 😕

I don't have Glass, but from other threads, it is often suggested connecting Glass to the hub with an ethernet cable.

If that's impossible there maybe a couple of work arounds for the F1....

  • Use Sky Go on a laptop and connect via ethernet
  • a streaming stick Roku, Firestick et al with Now TV either day pass or month.
