Connection to the broadband

Hi. Today should be my activation day. I have my equipment, openreach put box outside of building. Today should be my sky broadband be live. No one from Sky didn't came. How I can contact with someone? What's going on? Thanks

If that's FTTP then you're probably waiting for a fusion-splicing team to be available: unfortunately this can be problematic as trained personnel from both Openreach and Sky are in short supply.

What broadband package have you opted for .  Superfast fttc or ultrafast fttp?

 

Has a fibre optic ont been installed

Today engineer feom openreach been here, put a box outside of building and now someone from sky should connect equipment I've got and all should be on live today. That was a deal

@WERONIKA15  No one on the forum can tell you what time they will arrive as we are all customers here.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Unfortunately it's not exactly unknown for personnel to become unavailable, or for their earlier scheduled jobs to take longer than expected.

After i spoke with sky, rhey change now my activation date for 12th march. Not sure whats happening. Looks like because openreach they have some delays to do them job, they also not contacted with sky on time so now, some how they decided to move my date with a month delay. So I'll stay without broadband in home for all that time because noone takes responsibility for deals been made. Not sure what else I can do. So sad and bad experience for a new sky customer

Unfortunately activation dates are never actually guaranteed: that's just not realistic. 

 

You should be in line to receive the delayed activation compensation after the service goes live.
