If you have the Max addon you should be able to claim a Sky booster pod and use that instead of the booster you linked to us

So I have the full fibre gigafast Sky WiFi Max. But when I have spoken to people at Sky, they don't offer boosters nor can I see anywhere on my Sky app to request a booster.

Details are here under the features section, it states they will send out a pod and/or engineer. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

You can follow the 'No connection or slow WiFi' troubleshooting at the bottom of the page and see if it allows you to order one at the end of that, otherwise you would need to call or your post can be escalated her to chat with a Sky rep.

Can the chat be escalated to a sky rep? I'm not seeing anything on the link(s) provided to order one as it's just asking me to test my speed or purchase a package

Just for the purposes of this post, I wasn't getting 200/300mbps through the booster link I sent. I was getting it through the kit I had with EE prior to moving over to Sky.

 

Nevertheless, I have requested a Sky Max pod and we will see if this makes any difference

@BrianEvans The booster pod do let us know how it all works out, but please do try it all in home and as far apart from each other as you can before jumping out to the garden office with it so you have a basline to work with. Ethernet plug into the booster is fine, but it is still all wireless to wireless signal comms between the pod and the sky Max hub....

I have now received the booster and the speeds look to be really good hard wired into the booster and not hard wired into it. Even with the back door and office door shut. But I guess the real test will be when I join video calls. But the speeds certainly seem to have increased from the various speed tests I have done prior to the pod and since having the pod.

@BrianEvans Hard wired to the pod will help, you don't have to wait signal wise as the pod and the hub can get on with the straight transmission with each other.
