Connection issues

My sky q box is not connecting to my internet even though all the checks say everything looks good. 
have I tried everything, switching internet on and off switches boxes on and off and resetting connections... it just keeps disconnecting again... I am not able to watch any recording or download anything and it is driving me crazy now trying to fix it, something is not right and I need help please

Recordings are played from the local hard drive: if they aren't working then that suggests a box fault rather than a broadband issue.
