Connection dropping
Hi all, my WiFi has been working fine for a while till recently, now the connection keeps dropping to my ring cameras at the back of the house. The hub is only in the next room but WiFi drops.

Re: Connection dropping
@Hk10 A lot depends on what the wall is made of a double thickness brick or stone wall will block almost all of the signal leaving only the signal passing through windows or doorways for the cameras to connect to. The other issue is the cameras use the 2.4GHz band signal which only has room for 3 or at most 4 networks before interference becomes a factor. Unless your neighbors are far away their wifi network signals can be as strong or stronger than yours in the area outside.
Restarting your router can help,as that will cause the hub to find the least congested channel to use or you can download a WiFi Analyzer app on your phone which will show you all wifi signals in the area and if you haveca black Sky hub you can manually choose the least channel congested near the cameras.
