Connecting taco bulbs etc

We've just switched to sky superfast broadband and cant connect any of our taco bulbs, plus a battery camera we use when we're out to watch the dogs.

The broadband router has the little things so you can get WiFi in each room, plus it's the one that's connected to the copper cables outside (guy who fitted it told us) in case this makes a difference.

Not very tech savvy and need help please.

@Alfie6 your post is somewhat confusing hopefully you mean Tapo bulbs rathe than taco if so then they should connect to your hub without having to split the WiFi bands but can be a pain to connect?. Do you have a white Sky hub with Sky's pod extenders (pictured here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-booster-what-do-you-need-help-with)?

If so you can try the following go into the My Sky app and find the Sky Max hub's settings in product settings and click on Advanced Settings and choose Disable WiFi and turn off the 5GHz signal. Oncectgechub has got its white light back try connecting the bulbs and camera using the apps which should work unless the units are too far from the nearest pod. Then repeat the process but this time turn the 5GHz signal back on and the bulbs should stay connected.

That advice does not apply if your Sky hub is black.
