Connect hub to extender

Hi all.

Just joined up with Sky broadband a week ago & trying to connect my TP Link Extender to it.

Pressing the WPS on Sky Max Hub for about 3 seconds DOES not make it flash blue for me to then press the WPS button on the extender to link them.

Any suggestions?

What is the model of your TP-Link extender? It might be incompatible.

It's more to do with the Sky Hub light not turning blue after pressing the WPS button despite all the solutions saying this is the easiest way to connect.

I also can't connect to my water softener which requires the WPS being pressed.

@Raj57 you need to press and hold the WPS button until t he light starts flashing blue which rakes up to 10 seconds. Hold it too long though and the bu resets with acflashing green light.

I have held the WPS button down for 9 seconds with no change in the hub light. Articles say more than 10 seconds and you are likely to reset the hub.

On my old BT router I pressed it for a few seconds and the light changed.

Sky technician said WPS may not work on occasions for pairing up.

Today Sky reset my security level to WPA2 & then waited for about 10 mins. 

This allowed the WPS button then to light up to blue after pressing for about 4 seconds.

This enabled me to connect to both the TP Link Extender & the water softener.
