How Sky relies on BT connection via old copper wiring. What impact does it have on broadband speed & pricing if you switch to Gigaclear fibre?

ISPs using the national Openreach network have to pay BT Wholesale for bandwidth and circuit rental. Altnets such as Gigaclear don't face this cost, and are typically using startup finance and venture capital to offer what is almost certainly unsustainable pricing.
Sky does not currently have an active carriage deal with any altnets: the arrangement with CityFibre is due to begin next year. For Gigaclear availability and pricing you'd need to refer to the Gigaclear website.

Where Openreach has deployed its optical network (currently covering about 15 million properties) Sky offers FTTP, although this is asymmetric (up to 900/100Mbs) rather than the symmetrical service which altnets can provide.
