I want to move to sky broadband. If I do do they cancel with my current provider?

Who are you currently with @Carolg90 ?

If your provider is using the Openreach infrastructure you do not need to cancel. When you contact Sky to order they will do the work behind the scenes in contacting the provider to take over the line.
