Cat 8 cables

Just wondering is a cat 8 cable compatible with the sky broadband hubs as i am getting a new hub shortly due to upgrading to full fiber and i may need to move the router depending on where the ONT comes into my property. Hopefully they will put it where i want it but if not i will need to move the router and want to use cat 8 if possible. Many thanks for any info.

Yes, but Cat8 is entirely unnecessary for domestic situations: it's intended as an interconnect in server farms (and is somewhat difficult to work with due to its extra stiffness)

Cat5e is entirely adequate, Cat 6 for comfort if you wish.  Just avoid CCA (copper clad aluminium) which should never carry a Cat rating.
