Cannot upgrade to fibre

Every website I check, including Openreach , says fibre is available at our address and this was confirmed by a sky engineer on a recent visit. But when I go to upgrade online or speak with someone at Sky I'm told not available.  I've even had the WhatsApp message to say its available. Also on a call about a month ago an advisor at first said no but then tried something different on the system and said it is available. I didn't go ahead at the time due to high cost for existing customers. Now have really slow broadband so need fibre but can't give my money away. Any ideas ?

@Hosburger

Is that text underneath the table, rather than 'FTTP on Demand' in the table itself?

FTTPoD actually means almost the opposite of 'available'.

Re: Cannot upgrade to fibre

Sign up with another ISP.

When fibre to the premises came to my neighbourhood, Sky was not offering it to my home for at least six months.

I just joined another ISP

Former Sky HD+, Q and Stream customer
Now TV Sports + Entertainment + Cinema + Ultra Boost @ £31 pm (till October 2026)
1000/1000 FTTP (Digi) £15 pm
