Cancellation Deals - Some Information that is worth knowing.....
So, we cancelled Sky 32 days ago. We had the full package, TNT, UHD, Sports, Signature etc etc etc.....170+ without offers.
The reason we cancelled was simply that, cost.
During the cancellation period, we had one offer through would have brought it down to £138 per month - still very expensive.
So we decided, let it lapse, no worries.
Then, day 32 comes, today, and an offer comes through the inbox - £78.50 per month for the same full package, £70 for the first 2 months because Netflix and UHD were free for that period......oh, and if we swapped our broadband over, total went up to £90.
Finally, a good deal - (still a lot of money), but being out of contract on the broadband with Plusnet at £28.99 (and we only have the FTTC connection) means that effective TV cost is £61.
Now then, here is the kicker....i called Sky to accept the offer but, as we are on Day 32....TV is officially cancelled, they don't think they can actually reinstate anything - so, we have to come back as new customers.
Those deals aren't as good, so for us we are back to waving goodbye - but, for those of you who play the cancel game (but who really don't want to leave) just be wary that, whatever you do decide, do it within the 31 day period.
Perhaps Sky will find a way to fix it,, perhaps not, still the info is worth doing. We'd been customers for 17 years.
