Until now, sky said that the engineering work is contracted to a company and the company said they are running external engineering work and they will contact me after they are done with whatever they are working on.
Imagine the level of incompetence and incompetence coupled with the unprofessional conduct by sky and the so called engineer.
This is totally unacceptable and breach of contract agreements.

Find out moreThe company will be Openreach and if the building work required involves digging or something similar in property that is not yours such as a neighbours or council then it can take a while to get a permit and actually do the work. This is in no way a breach of contract agreements and is the normal process for a property thats getting broadband provisioned for the first time or is being moved to FTTP.
You are entitled at any point to cancel the order if you feel its taking too long.

Getting fibre installed often a major operation. Its only worth switching if you have access to another network like Virgin Media or can use mobile broadband. You will be compensated when the job is done see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com
The compensation Ingot paid for the first 6 months of my contract.

The contract is for the ISP to commission the network provider to attempt to provision the connection.

Just contacted sky today and I was told the engineering work can't be done as stated by openreach and they have cancelled my order.
