Can I setup a VPN to access into my home network using my existing Sky ID

Hi,

I need to be able to setup a secure VPN into my home network so I can access files on our system. My research so far seems to indicate it cannot be done using a Sky router and setting up a 3rd party router will mean no Sky support, is this case? If so then as luck would have it I have just gone out of contract so I can move.

  Thanks

Mark

Sky Hubs do not have VPN endpoint functionality.  Sky permits non-Sky router hardware to be used, but can't offer technical support for it (and Sky Talk Internet Calls doesn't work)

Incidentally I'm not aware of any mainstream ISP which offers their own VPN hardware.

Thank you for your quick response, I'll have a chat with a friend about it as it is more his area of expertise than mine
