Can I have two routers as I have two phone ports in the house? Boosters dont seem to be doing the job as I have a long house with thick walls.

Are these 2 seperate ports or are they connected
If the are seperate then you would need to source another isp to order a second line making sure they are aware this is an additional line and not a takeover off your existing service

Essentially no: that's not a possible configuration to use as a workaround for extension sockets no longer functioning.

Powerline network adapters may well be more appropriate than wireless boosters.

They are the same phone line at other ends of the house.

Do you sacrifice much down and up speeds with the powerline method?

Potentially, yes, particularly on faster external connections, but as long as 'enough' is delivered to any particular clent device then that's not an issue.

That certainly won't work for two routers, and also cannot carry any useful bandwidth from the current router.
