Callback from customer service team agent

Just spoken to someone on the phone who promised to call back tomorrow (literally that's what was said, I promise) as she couldn't find anyone to help me on this particular issue. 

she said she will call around 12:00 pm so I have cancelled the plan I prearranged. Is it realistic to really expect a callback? Or is it just a tactic to shut me up? 

anyone had similar experiences?

@Danny118 Part of me would say at best it's a 50/50 chance you will get a call back, the other more realistic part of me says it's more likely a 90/10 chance that you won't.

It may be worth calling first thing in the morning if you can , that way you can make sure you get to speak to someone and not have to wait on something that might not happen.
