Cacelling landline
Can I cancel my landline as I never use it. I have the fibre optic option with sky talk..it is up for renewal but I no longer want the landline just the fibre optics..each time I have tried to renew online I have been asked to try again later. I don't want to phone up and am hoping when I finally get through that there will be an option to cancel the landline before renewing my contract for next two years..any experience in this would be welcome..thanks

Re: Cacelling landline
Sky Talk is bundled together with Sky Broadband. You can't cancel the Talk side of things without cancelling Broadband as well.
Just make sure you're on the Sky Pay As You Talk tariff (call Sky if you're not). That way if you make no calls there are no Sky Talk charges. (The Pay As You Talk tariff is the default tariff when you join).

Re: Cacelling landline
As @Daniel0210 indicates, online advice to 'save money by cancelling an unused landline' is generally erroneous: terrestrial broadband requires a data bearer cable (either copper or optical fibre)
'Cancel an extra cost unused inclusive minutes voice service' would be more accurate (but harder to fit into a headline)
