CAT5e Cable

What colour is the CAT5e cable (not the wires inside the cable) that Sky uses internally?

If you are thinking of the cable to the ONT from outside, that's an optical pigtail and is a much thinner grey/white.

Left to right that's power (white with white barrel jack) , ethernet (black with yellow RJ45 plug) and optical pigtail (white with green SC APC plug)

Are you referring to an ethernet patch lead supplied by Sky for connecting between an ONT and a Sky Broadband Hub / Max Hub for FTTP broadband, or the bulk cable which Sky (very rarely) deploys to solve Q television issues?

Re: CAT5e Cable

Hi

Just the cable from the ONT and a Sky Broadband Hub that runs along the skirting board.

We have a door frame to go around and if the cable is not white it is going to look ugly

I believe Sky bundles a 1.5 metre black patch lead, but you can replace it with one of your choice in colour and length.

Note that Sky doesn't 'install' that cable: the customer is expected to plug it in.  The one they supply certainly won't go round a door frame so you'd need to source your own anway if you want the Hub that far away from the ONT.

@vipsana if I remember correctly its black with yellowcends but given you can buy ethernet cables in any colour and length you like cheap,y it is pretty easy to get what you want
