Buy Sky Ultra Fast 5m DSL cable

Hi,

I need to buy a 5m DSL cable for my Sky Broadband Hub (SR204) to move it to a better place. I have Ultra Fast broadband. The cable is RJ11 to RJ11 (white and purple ends) and i need it to able to do speeds of 145mb/s. The cables i have seen say up to 100mb/s. Can anyone recommend a cable please?

Also i notice the sky cable provided has 2 pins each end and the 5m cable avaliable to buy have 4 pins. Does that matter?

Many thanks

@themockscot generally any reasonably good 5m DSL cable will be suitable for G.Fast. I woudn't be too bothered by the speed rating. The signal only requires 2 pins but as you say many cables have all 4 pins connected.

@themockscot

Four cabling strands tends to indicate rather more robust construction.  Any particular speed claim is fairly bogus because unlike ethernet, 'phone' cabling isn't built to a particular standard.
