Broardband connections

My broardband was off for 18 days but is now back on. I also had a new router fitted.

My house phone, TV and PC are all fine, but i can't get the wi-fi connection working to my Samsung mobile phone, my wife's moble phone or my Google Home Hub, all of which worked before.

All errors on these items state that my new password (from Sky) is not reccognised. Could this password be incorrect and would Sky be able to test it?

@Dave+Gahan the password on the label of the hub will be correct but they are easy to misread a letter forca number and vice versa say the figure 0 for the letter O. Sky cannot test a password remotely.

Some devices do get confused and refuse to accept a valid password I had that issue myself on Friday afternoon with a new network I was setting up where a TV refused the known to be correct password.

The steps I took to resolve it was to tell the device to forget the connection and then reboot it fully and try to reconnect which eventually worked for me. Variations for real problem devices are factory resetting the device and restarting the router..

Resist the temptation to chuck the device out of the window which will give a moment of satisfaction but is inevitably followed by remorse. 😀

Re: Broardband connections

Hello @Chrisee,I managed to photograph the password on the rear of my router and then input the correct details to achieve my wireless connection,

Thanks for your help.
