Broadband upgrade

Hi, I'm upgrading to Sky Full Fibre 300 from Sky Superfast. I've been sent a new router but it's the same one I've already got. Is it possible to connect the new broadband to my current router as it'll save the hassle of having to connect all my devices to a new router.

@gibbo1967 You could if you wish take the new hub set it up with the same ssid and the same password that you have on your existing hub, they do have serial numbers on every hub but not sure if sky is looking that close to that fact, did you get the request to return your old hub, it is kind off unusual to get a like for like Sky Broadband Hub if that is the one you have, normally they would just send you out an Ethernet cable to connect upto the new ONT that is going to be installed. Maybe they thought old hub had it for a while, won't do any harm to give you a new one! Or they don't have a record off what you have, better just send it incase!!!!

Thanks for your response. No Sky haven't requested a return of my current hub as yet so I'll see what happens when the engineer arrives on Monday. Thanks again.

@gibbo1967 About the hubs so you see what is current and if you wish say which one you have also!

I already have the hub in the instructions you sent but Sky haven't requested sent a new one. As I said earlier they haven't requested that I return my current hub yet.
