Broadband takeover cancellation

I ordered sky to takeover my broadband then ended up wanting to stay with my previous broadband after them getting in touch. I had a chat online with an advisor from sky and they assured me that the order had been cancelled. I'm still seeing it on my orders and my previous broadband keeps asking me to cancel sky so they can proceed with my order! I can't phone sky as iam non verbal. I am frustrated that nothing online helps my matter and iam unable to get through by chat (driving me crazy with the robot chat) need help!

@RLSSCF You will just have to keep going at it, chat is just not the best way to do what you need, you are relying on it all to go as plan and that may just not be happening for you!

Re: Broadband takeover cancellation

Yesterday I agreed to swap from my previous Vodafone broadband to Sky. But I got absolutely NOTHING to confirm my future monthly billing charge and I did not get a copy of the contract. I have fought and fought with the frustrating AI robot and got nowhere. I now regret thinking of joining SKY. How can I get a human to talk to instead of the useless AI robot. If I cannot get a contract copy before this happens (in just 4 days time!!) I want to cancel the whole mess and stay away forever from SKY.

Re: Broadband takeover cancellation

@RegrettingIt How did you order your broadband, was it with an advisor over the phone or did you do it yourself all on line! Different ways produce different outcomes, have you logged onto your sky account and looked at messages, or did you get a string off e-mails rapid from sky regarding orders, they may possibly have gone into a spam box etc!

Re: Broadband takeover cancellation

Thanks for helping.

I eventually found a phone number that got me to a human in Sky. And all is now well. The essential contract information I'd been looking for was NOT inside the emails Sky sent me. It was in fact in three "messages" which were accessible hidden at a lower level via links in one of the emails. Those messages provided access links to online pdf files. Only findable after scrolling past lots of pictures from Sky and advertising blurb.

But it was findable in the end and the lovely helpful lady at Sky customer service quickly helped me.

All sorted now and I'm happy.

@RegrettingIt Trying to get your eye caught for other parts of the service no doubt, glad you got it all sorted. Once you get online and into your account, the My Messages section generally has it all and way easier to get to!
