Broadband switch only

I have been overpaying for a poor sky broadband.

I am in contract but wish to leave broadband and keep all tv contracts.

How do i go about it?

You could use the OTS system to switch (which only affects the BB) but of course you would be subject to early termination fees.

Can I ask why you think it's been poor? Presumably if in contract you have a discounted price?

@TWilson

If you order broadband from another ISP, the switch mechanism won't affect the television subscription (even if the ISP you move to is also a television provider)

Sky will bill you for any relevant Early Termination Charge if you haven't negotiated exit based on inadequate service.

Re: Broadband switch only

I get discounts, but £55 in all for at best 30mbps, flutuating to 9mbps is rubbish, and drop outs.

I could get 1.3Gig through zzzoom for £30 a month!

How does that work??

Sky emailed me £420 to leave!!

How is that fair!

Regards

You could try talking to them and ask to cancel the BB only due to the poor performance and to waive the ETCs? It might take more than one call as it could be dependant on who you speak to.

Edit: Zzoom  of course are treating you as a new customer and are using their own fibre optic cabling, Sky will be using the Openreach ADSL or FTTC cabling.
