Broadband speeds slower than guaranteed minimum

What are my options with my broadband. I renewed last January but recently (atleast the last month) my Broadband speeds have dropped to 41mpbs. Sky are telling me the guarateed minimum I should be receiving is 59.8mbps

I've checked the router, cabling etc and can't see any faults/issues but i'm also being told that this can't be fixed by sky either?

I don't want to continue with a services that is steadily declining in speeds while also paying for a service i'm not getting.

Has anyone been in the situation? My other option is look for an alternative provider but i'll have to return all the Sky equipment again leaving me to replace all the hardware.

Essentially Sky is saying Openreach aren't going to do anything to improve your copper line before it's eventually replaced with an optical circuit.

The main problem with switching provider is that any other Openreach ISP will inherit the same situation.

You can choose to claim the one month refund from Sky under the speed 'guarantee' (note that despite the name it's the refund that's actually guaranteed, not the speed) but realistically there's little else they can offer
