Broadband speed

I have 500 Mbps broadband while my laptop shows 60-70 Mbps download speed. All efforts to contact Sky failed

@Ajay

If the laptop is using WiFi then that's not at all unusual.  The minimum 400Mbs expected from an Ultrafast 2 service is speed over optical fibre and ethernet cable as far as the Hub, not wirelessly from it: the Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi 'guarantee' is for a whole 25Mbs (and all WiFi is zero Mbs on the other side of a few walls)

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Broadband speed

@Ajay And you may wish to say if your laptop is running on battery mode and you have taken care of reduced cpu?

Re: Broadband speed

I disagree. Had Virgin till a month ago, router at the same location. Got consistent speed of 500+

Re: Broadband speed

I am currently with Virgin Media waiting to be switched over to Sky.

Virgin Hub 3 and Hub 4 are pile of junk and Wi-Fi is close to zero if you moved to next room. I am currently using my own router connected to Virgin Hub 4 in modem mode and that is the way to get the most out of Virgin Media.

Virgin Media customer forum is flooded with people screaming about Wi-Fi and the suggestion from fellow customers is invest in your own router/mesh

Re: Broadband speed

@Ajay No one is disagreeing with you, the post you put up had NO information to work with apart from your speed statement. You may wish to add some detail.

Have a look at the service checker, it displays the last 30 day's of what sky see to the router, that is assuming you have a Sky router and not your own.
