Is there a way I can test my broadband speed with out it just saying looks good

@LiamB1986 What device are you trying to check the speed with and how is it connected?

Trying to check using my mobile phone, had some dodgy reps from EE or so they say at the door, getting my wife to check her speed however they got her to check. Telling her our speed is only 17mps

You can get an app called Speedtest.net on your phone to test the speed. However a more reliable way to test it is using an ethernet connected PC/Laptop & going to https://www.speedtest.net
