Broadband packages

Am researching shifting broadband provider. Can't make any sense of whether Sky will support a change and support my existing land line

If Ultrafast speeds are available, that indicates provisioning will be over FTTP.  This would mean no copper 'landline' is involved, with Sky bundling a voice service over VOIP.

Note that no Openreach ISP now provisions on copper if full fibre is available at an address.

Re: Broadband packages

Thanks for that, Timmy. We do now have FTTP and 150MB service, but a landline inparallel, mainly for a bunch of aged relatives who can't handle WhatsApp or similar. What I don't know is how VOIP will be brought in and whether a  "look and feel" equivalent to a land line service will ever arrive. I suppose so, or  a large number of folks will be disenfranchised. Meanwhile,  It's looking as though my options to switch are extremely limited.
