Internet goes down (amber middle light on the router) was happening about once a day for the last 2 weeks and then today its happened about 14 times so far. No clear issues with the line, all diagnostics come back fine, no interruptions in the area, router has been reset all the standard sky procedures followed. Any idea why else it would keep cutting in and out?

This may require a router replacement. Because normally this could be the wiring to your phone socket or ONT box, check this if you can replace with another wire OR there is openreach work at the cabinet.
Give sky a phone , broadband department and get them to run tests on the line. Then they may send you a replacement router after everything completed to try.
