Broadband keeps dropping

I've had my service installed for just over two months and my broadband keeps dropping out completely and resets itself and comes back on.. usually around 5 mins each time. I've been through the steps/had an engineer out who advised I may need a new master socket but we couldn't locate the existing one.. engineer said they would escalate to open reach but since then it's been radio silence.

Re: Broadband keeps dropping

@Pock Would advise you to have a look see and find ALL your telephone socket's that you have home wise, does sound like you may have mutliples off, if so that can lead to all kinds off internal issues. You will have to get Sky involved again. Post your stat's if you are able to.

Broadband issues - multiple engineer vists

Hi, I posted about the same issue back in May. I've had sky BB and tv since Feb 2025. Since then my internet and WiFi drops multiple times a day.

since Feb I have have 6 sky engineer visits and x3, maybe 4 open reach visits.

x2 new routers

x2 new master data sockets

x2 new cables

x1 new booster

x2 relocations of router

x2 relocations of hive unit

x3 cabinet inspections and new cables inside cabinet.

I recently moved the box and mounted it on the wall and for three days I've had a perfect connection but today my connection has dropped twice for absolutely no reason.

I really need this resolved but at a deadend.

Does anyone have an idea of what to do next? Push for an open reach full rewire from pole to house perhaps? Or cabinet to pole?

any advice much appreciated

@Pock On post 2 you were asked for your stat's is there a reason you do not wish to do that?

Re: Broadband issues - multiple engineer vists

@Pock All off post 2 is relevant and you need to read and answer, no point going any further until then! Take it OR attended found your cable entry point, that it went to the master socket and |ALSO| checked you had NO internal wiring issues! It all matters on a copper feed to your home....
