@squashy-10 That is the problem, you need a real router with a 4g/5g hot swap backup wan mode to keep the system/systems up and running. If you really rely or are so internet dependant then time to look at all the options, poor mobile signal then it is not worth even starting down that journey path.

Well
it is now 3 weeks and 3 days since my broadband went down and made 3 more calls to Sky and nothing has changed apart from being told they have another expected repair date the 9th of May 2 other repair dates have come and gone so I am not getting excited.

Ok
Another fix date as come and gone Ive just got off the phone to Sky and the Sky Tech said that they have now been told te repair has another fix date The 16th of May same old same old and steam is now comming from my ears as I posted another complaints form yesterday and I had a repliy this morning We are sorry and apologise for the inconvenience you are eperiencingi with your broadband we can confirm that a network engineer visit is sheduled for Tuesday 15/04/2025 between 12.00 -17.00 we hope this visit resilves the Broadband issue THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL ENGINEER VISIT THAT I WAS ABLE TO MAKE WHEN IT WENT DOWN AND HE NEVER TURNED UP.Cant they read? are they mad?

Well
At last it has been fixed after 34 days we had a Openreach engineer turn up unannounced so I explained to him that I had been informed of the outage he looked puzled and said he new of no outage but had been asked to pay me a visit to see the issue(good job I was in) I then expained all the troubles I have had with Sky Re phone calls and complaints so he sugested having a look at the junction box on my outside wall he then reported I had a signal up to there and needed to look inside my house and said he found a cable that had been clipped to the skirting board with the staple puncturing the outer fibre cable fracturing the fibre cable inside he fitted a jointing box and the signal was restored it took the engineer approx 40 minutes.I belive if the engineer had not visited I would still be out and waiting for the so called outage that did not exsist what a mess Sky you need to get your act together.Thanks for your help guys.
Ps I have just recieved a email from Sky telling me I will get £39.57 credited to my bill or a £40 tesco voucher as compensation for 34 days loss of service I think Sky use the same accountants that our government use!I will be on the phone to Sky again tomorrow.
