Re: Broadband fix
Then there is no 'Fix'. WiFi is not magical and it is subject to technical & environmental limitations. Especially if your router & client device is not WiFi 6/e/7. If you want the full 900mbps connect you will need to use ethernet.
Realistically there is very little usecase for a single client device to get speeds 100mbps+ over WiFi as there is little you can do with it. Since most streaming services use at most 30mbps & downloads from external sites often top out at a few hundred mbps.

Re: Broadband fix
@MarkfinleyEven on WiFi 6 sitting next to the router you are unlikely to see the full speed. Will find it max out around the 700meg give or take and drop a lot as you move away. You wont see your full speed unless as mentioned you use ethernet. What you are paying for is a 900 meg connection to the back of your router from the ONT on the wall not 900meg over WiFi.

Re: Broadband fix
There is no 'should' figure for WiFi speeds. They can change constantly due to number of devices, time of day, current environmental factors, neighbours etc. Just because you got one speed from Virgin over WiFi does not mean you'll get the same with Sky, you are using completely different router hardware.
