Broadband fibre - delayed connection solution

I'm a new customer for fibre broadband and there's a 3 week delay for the activation of the broadband because something needs to be fixed with the connection between the street and house. Our prevoius broadband provider has expired and now  we don't have internet which among other things we use to activate hot water. I can't get in rock with sky right now. Has anyone had this but managed to get an interim solution like non fibre broadband getting set up to tie you over

Realistically the only likely option is cellular data, either tethered or through a cellular router ('portable hotspot')
