Broadband dropping

An openreach engineer came out last week as I'm having issues with broadband and she says that the wire being used is not the correct one apparently it is meant for alarms and it should be phone cable also a box needs to be fitted closer to the hub as its in the passage  near the front door and should be in the living room they said that it was down to you guys to do the work so I'm still waiting for you to arrange to do the work
