Broadband dropping on mobile devices

Hi there,

Upgraded to ultrafast in the summer. Speeds are noticeably higher than with previous package.

Since upgrading there is also a noticeable lack of connectivity to some movile devices (2 different iPhones). The connection either drops all together or runs at a fraction of the current internet speed as displayed on a laptop browser (both laptop and phone in same location in the house). Issue does not affect tablets/laptops/tvs just these mobile devices.

why could this be and what can I try to resolve?

@Aoakley with iPhones you cannot use 3rd party wifi analyzer apps but if you go into the settings app and find the settings for Apple's own Airport Utility and enable wifi scanning you can get the app to list all wifi sources by strength and channel. That should help you troubleshoot the problem.

There is a setting which defaults to on where the phone will switch to mobile data if that is faster than wifi - its near tge bottom of the Mobile data settings after the various apps listed. Try disabling that to see if that helps keep the phones connected.

Do you have Sky Q boxes by any chance?
