It is ridiculously frustrating and a dreadful customer service experience trying to get to speak to somebody. We don't want to speak to a useless bot or use the awful website.

Yep. Hence the frustration in not being able to ring up and speak to customer services

You do have a Sky Talk landline as it's bundled with your broadband package but you have chosen not to connect an actual handset which is fine.

If you buy a cheap handset you only need to plug it in when you need to call Sky if and when there's an issue.
