Broadband connection issues

We have intermittent service of broadband, mostly unconnected, never reliable. Openreach attended last week and said they fixed some issues with the physical connection. However the service did not improve. Openreach attended again this morning and say that there are now no problems with the hardware, but that what is required is a DLM reconnection/maintenance which apparently must be done by you as the service provider. Please help. Thanks
