Broadband connection distance

Hello folks, Previously with BT I had a router that connected with and communicated with an external security camera. My sky router does not reach it and does not communicate with it and it's leaving my premises unsecure which concerns me greatly due to having safety issues at my house and in my garden from an ex boyfriend. The router is in exactly the same place. How do I fix this please?

Re: Broadband connection distance

have you tried isntalling WIFI boosters ? that would be the easiest option, and roughly how far away is your Sky hub from the camera ? is there no WIFI signal at all in the area where the camera is ? I found that my Sky HUb was just as good as teh BT Smart Hub 2 that I had previously with similar range though I dont know your setup and exactly where your Sky hub is.

Re: Broadband connection distance

I think I'll have to fork out for a booster. The router is in the same place as the previous BT one. I just assumed the Sky router would work the same as the BT one before it but the signal isn't strong enough to reach the camera in the garden. It's somewhat irritating!

thanks for replying 🙂
