Broadband below minimum guarantee
I have paid to have gigabit braid band with minimum 600 guarantedd. Next the the hub it is only 480 and upstairs it is 150 to 250. When I phoned sky the operative said the minimum guarantee was only for hard wired connection not WiFi. Is that true? What can I do?

That is correct, yes. No ISP actually guarantees wireless speed because they have no control over the size of the property, its construction materials or the local wireless environment: fundamentally all WiFi falls to zero Mbs on the far side of a few walls.

For better wireless speed you'd want modern mesh hardware or Powerline to WiFi adapters. Only ethernet cable is guaranteed to deliver line speed to client devices.
