Broadband and talk

Hi,

broadband and phone line down!!

Friday the 22nd Openreach attended my road to carry out repairs to an unrelated issue. They managed to damage our connection to Sky Broadband and Sky Talk. I have reported via the usual online methods. We have a confirmation that an engineer will attend to fix the problem. However I have been trying to get an update over the last couple of days as we still have no service. Any chance of an actual person I can speak too??? I can't log in to my sky id to even chat to your online bot. Its absolutely shocking we have been without service for 2 days already and no idea when we may have services resumed. No one to speak to, no online assistant and pretty much impossible to contact Sky. Been a Sky customer over 20 years and this is the most shocking experience I have ever had with Sky services!!! We have two people in the household who work from home and were supposed to be working from home over the weekend. Been on to Openreach too but they said I have to go through my provider, would be nice if this was even possible !! B.

@Dan4976

As you are not talking to Sky on here as we are customers who help each other all we can say is that Openreach will work at their own speed to repair this. If they need to close part/all of the road then they do have to get the relevant permissions first which can hold up repairs.

Re: Broadband and talk

From openreach's point of view it is still the same day that the fault was raised as weekends and banks holidays don't count to them

Realistically the Friday before a Bank Holiday weekend is just a really unfortunate time for such an occurrence, but working from home makes absolutely no difference to response times on a domestic broadband contract.

That's correct: the national network maintainer isn't a public facing company.
