Hi guys, wondering if anyone could help. My broadband is getting activated remotely tomorrow, however there is no physical master socket in our new home. Our electrician said he could see where it was previously, yet there is nothing there physically to plug it into once activated if that makes sense?
I phoned sky and they said that they can only send an engineer out after it has been activated, I have to contact them once it's been activated. The Sky engineer installing the TV at the weekend even pointed out that there was no physical socket to plug the broadband into and that we needed an engineer out. My question is, how quick are the engineers coming out to install the new master socket or fix it the existing one? Same day? Few days? By the lax tone of the lady I spoke to this morning, it seemed as if it's nothing to worry about?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAn engineer will usually be sent out within 10 working days, often shorter. Your TV install can go ahead without broadband.
