Broadband Signal is not constant Cable being eaten by Rats

My Broadband Signal is not constant, it drops out. The last time this happened, the supply cable to my house had been eaten through by Rats. What and when can something be done to resolve this problem i.e. replacing cable to an armoured cable?

@UK+Dave you need to call Sky who will communicate with Openreach who own the cable it is up to them as to what cable they use.
