Broadband Shield not working correctly
We had Sky broadband installed a few weeks ago and cannot get the broadband shield settings to take effect.
We have set them to 13 and always on. Testing shows explicit sites returned in Google search results.
I have also tried rebooting the router to no avail.
Can a sky employee pick this up please to resolve asap.

@GerryBh1967 You said that you could search those kinds of sites, but are you also able to view the content when you click on the link for the sites in the Google search?

Correct. I'm expecting the broadband shield to block from the search results and from being viewed. Surely it's not that difficult and it's something fundamental that sky needs to get right given that a large number of their customers will be families with children who should be protected.

@GerryBh1967 It does not block the search function, but should block the viewing of the sites when the link is clicked.

That seems ridiculous and it's not even blocking as you've advised. What are the next steps to get it working as intended?

@GerryBh1967 Are you able to click on links to this kind of material and view them with this setting in place on broadband sheild?

@GerryBh1967 If you are not able to control or change the settings in broadband sheild then give Sky a call. If you are in the UK then dial 150 on your landline handset and listen to the voice prompts and ignore if they try send you a text to come back here.

I'll give them a call but looks as if many others are having similar issues that remain unresolved 😞
Is there no option to web chat with sky rather than call,?

Found this on sky's website...surely this should remove the items from search results?
Comes with Safe Search. It helps to protect young people from adult content. Filters explicit content from Google and Bing search results so you can feel safer allowing your children to browse the internet

I have now tried several times and cannot get through to speak to someone. The automated service keeps telling me to check not broadband with the online checker and then it cuts me off!
This is very frustrating, can someone please pick this up and help??
