Broadband Installation Delays

My broadband installation keeps getting delayed and I don't know what to do, customer service have been no help.

 

The first time no issue was apparent, except I got no confirmation on the date of my install and no hub was dispatched, I booked time off work on the day for the engineer that I'd chosen when joining, only for no one to turn up, I phoned for support and was told there was an issue with my order and I'd have to reorganise it.

 

The second time I made slightly more progress by getting a confirmation on the date (today) and have had a hub delivered, in my confirmation it stated an engineer wasn't needed to go inside my property, and I even had a member of customer service text me most days to confirm the order was progressing successfully. But today I've been told the activation wasn't successful because the engineer couldn't start the installation!! And all customer service could do was rearrange installation again 

Every time it gets delayed I have to wait another 2 weeks, it's been over a month now, so I'm getting really desperate. I work and study from home, and I haven't been able to do that without internet. What can I do to actually get this sorted quickly!!

 

P.S, I don't even think I need an engineer to install anything because there's a functional port in my property that was used successfully by the previous owners

@SimonR668 Although it may have been functional and working previously it still has to be redirected to sky and as you being the customer, you say not which type off connection that you have or the state of play on it! The Forum community is not sky customer service and can only surmise or direct which way to go, Sky is your only way and if they do not have the detail it's the game off doing as your are currently!
