Re: Bosch EasyConnect wifi

We've just had exactly the same problem. Bosch Easy connect was working fine until husband turned the router off by mistake. After that, the Bosch wouldn't connect to the router. It was on the device list but Bosch kept saying no Internet. Worked fine on a mobile hotspot so knew it was a Sky issue. Reset Easy Connect multiple times and tried splitting the 2.4 and 5 and did a standard reset on the sky router but nothing worked. Finally reset the Sky router by holding reset for 20 seconds and it finally worked. So relieved as ran it for several days on the mobile hotspot which was fine until I left the house.

Re: Bosch EasyConnect wifi

I found the solution, much simpler than it seems. Just disable the 5Ghz wi-fi network for the short time needed to configure the thermostat, then the 5Ghz network can be reactivated. Therefore, there is no need for any other tricks read in chats such as: giving different names to the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks, resetting the router etc. etc. ... they are useless, they will simply drive you crazy!

Disable the 5Ghz network on the Sky router and you will see that everything is resolved in a few minutes! 😉

Re: Bosch EasyConnect wifi

Hi @IT_Robert

How do you disable 5ghz and what do you mean by needing to configure the thermostat?

Thanks

Re: Bosch EasyConnect wifi

I've just struggled with similar immediately after my new sky broadband hub was installed. The solutions were:

1. Disable my sky q box from broadcasting wifi using the hidden menu

2. Changing the 5ghz channel which seemed to interfere with the thermostat.

Once those were done I dad as suggested here and disabled the 5ghz, connected the easy control, then turned 5ghz back on
