Book a sooner date for a technician
I'm a new customer and was promised that I would have sky broadband within the month. I have cancelled my original provider and that stops the 26th. I've had a text that I it's booked in for the 14th August. My wife works from home. I've got a job interview and a very important meeting within this time period. Where I live we can't work off 4G because the signal is terrible and can't make calls unless we use the WiFi. When Openreach originally came round on the 3rd July he said it would take tops 2 weeks. I had to text him because you're digging up my garden which I'm not too happy about, but he assured me that I wouldn't be able to tell after a week or so. I do have his contact number but not phoned him because it's probably not down to him to book the work in

Re: Book a sooner date for a technician
@TobiasWood Please be aware you're not contacting Sky customer services, this is a custiomer helps customer community.
The date you have been provided will be the earliest date available, working from home does not give your new instal any greater priority.
Sky won't be digging up the garden, it will be Openreach and this sounds like it's required for a FTTP install.
Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
