Blocking Apps In Broadband Sheild
Ive selected the content and sites I wanted to block in my Sheild, however I can still download them and access them from the app store. How do I fix this?
Thanks.

Re: Blocking Apps In Broadband Sheild
@G19 you often cant when you add web addresses to the shield works by intercepting calls to the DNS server thst provides the mstching IP addresses which many apps dont need as the IP addresses are hard coded. The generic filters like social networking do work to some extent as these know the target addresses and are kept up to date by the company Sky uses.
These filters are not perfect you may have more luck on specific devices for example on ios devices you can set limits on screentime for classes of apps down to zero. Setting up a child's accounts allow parents greater control. Android is similar I believe.

Re: Blocking Apps In Broadband Sheild
Ah I see, thank you! Do you have any idea why I've blocked the social media category but "allowed" certain ones, and yet the ones I've allowed don't work and the ones I've blocked work...? Would this still be to do with what you've explained?
