Bad wifi

The wifi in our house is rubbish! Iv had sky out and bt numerous times, and its getting no better. I run the tests and most of the time it says everything is fine, but i cannot connect to wifi even at that point. Iv gone through all the steps advised and got a sky booster. Any advice please?
