Hi my router is downstairs and for some reason only just about connects to devices upstairs with 1 bar of wifi so I've bought a wifi extender and that has all 3 bars but is terrible especially on my PlayStation but when I test the wifi it says it's perfect.
Often 3rd party extenders are just paper weights, you may want to look at getting a Sky booster which will integrate better or invest in a 3rd party router.
