Bad Wi-Fi connection
We have just had sky ultrafast installed at our new home. Open reach fibre was already in the house so it was just a case of getting a router and plugging in. The Wi-Fi is terrible though. Even if sat in same room as router it cuts out or is very slow at loading any webpage or video call. It's almost non existent in neighbouring rooms even only a few feet away. How can I fix this. It's unacceptably bad

Re: Bad Wi-Fi connection
Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.
Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.

Re: Bad Wi-Fi connection
@OliverBanks WiFi coverage is not something Sky or any isp can promise beyond minimal levels. WiFi signals are affected by bith the layout and type of construction of your home so if you live in an older property with solid internal walls you can get the effect you discribe. However if a radiator is between where the hub is and the device that will totally block direct signal leaving the device to rely on reflections.
You can contact Sky who will try to sell you their WiFi Max service which can provide extenders to help or you can buy third party equipment but tge laws of physics still apply which means some properties are wifi unfriendly.
