Bad Connection since Full Fibre installation

Asking on behalf of my Dad who is the Sky Account Holder - he is  Severely Sight Impaired. He uses a Samsung tablet (it's quite an old device, not sure if that makes a difference?), which has software installed called Synapptics. This is specifically designed for the Blind and is an excellent resource for him. But the WiFi keeps dropping out and of course, he can't see to put in the password back in. He has to wait for me or my sister to go over. The main Sky Broadband Box is in the Living room and dad is in a different room. Before Full Fibre install the Broadband box was in his room. But now the Wifi dropping out happens all the time. We had Sky send us a Booster box which is in Dad's room, but that doesn't help the issue of the Wifi un-installing all the time. I'm not very techy and we're struggling with what to do. Thanks for any suggestions.

A 'booster' cannot improve the situation if it's in the location which has poor WiFi (because it's not receiving anything itself)

Ideally it needs to be about halfway between the router and the device(s) in use.
